The NOIDS Herb Lab is a 74 W countertop herb cooker with a 350 ml borosilicate glass and five preset cycles: decarboxylation at 115C (239F), oil infusion at 100C (212F), and ethanol evaporation capped at 102C (215.6F).
It was previously sold as the POT by NOIDS. Same device, new name. Its identification plate calls it the All-in-One Herb Cooker, model EXT2020, so you will see all three names in circulation.
Everything on this page is taken from the official user manual, version EN-5 (NDPN-20210901). Where the manual does not state something, it is listed as undocumented at the end rather than guessed at.
Is the NOIDS Herb Lab the same as the POT by NOIDS?
Yes. It is the same appliance under a later name. If you own a POT by NOIDS, every temperature, cycle time and procedure on this page applies to it, and the parts are the same parts.

What are the five functions and their temperatures?
The Rotary Control selects one of five cycles or OFF. These are the manual’s stated figures.

The 115C decarb setting matches the standard window in our decarboxylation temperature and time chart. The cycle runs far longer than an oven’s 40 minutes because the glass is covered and there is no airflow carrying heat into the material, so the whole mass has to come up to temperature and stay there.
Note that Oil runs cooler than Decarb, at 100C rather than 115C. That is deliberate: decarboxylation needs the heat, extraction into fat does not, and holding an infusion at decarb temperature costs terpenes for nothing. The same logic is covered in best oils for cannabis infusion.

The Glass is not interchangeable. It carries a built-in thermal sensor and the cooker will not recognise a substitute container. Glass and Pipette are borosilicate; Dish Lid, Sleeve, Sensor Pad and Lock Ball are silicone; the Filter Funnel is SUS304 and the Filter Disc SUS316 stainless steel. All food-contact parts are declared to Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and LFGB.
How do you run a decarb cycle?
- Break large material into smaller pieces. The manual asks for this explicitly.
- Put the material in the Glass, not above the MAX mark.
- Check the Sleeve is seated, then cover the Glass with the Dish Lid. The lid is not optional. If hot air escapes too fast the sensor never registers the target temperature and the cycle will not complete properly.
- Dry the bottom of the Glass and place it in the Main Body so it contacts the probes.
- Turn the Rotary Control to align Decarb or CBD Decarb with the Base Mark.
- Wait three seconds. A beep and a pulsating Ring LED mean the cycle is running.
- When heating finishes the Ring LED goes out and the fan runs. You can lift the Glass out then, or let the cooker finish cooling.
A cycle has two phases, heating and cooling, and it is only complete when the heating surface has fallen to 50C (122F), at which point the fan stops and the cooker beeps back to standby. The ventilation fan starts a couple of minutes into a cycle, not immediately.
If you need to adjust anything mid-cycle: turn to OFF, let the Glass cool to a safe temperature, adjust, then restart the function. The manual notes the temperature control is precise enough that a prolonged decarb does not damage the active compounds, so restarting is not a problem.
Fresh or damp material may condense water around the Filter Disc. You can go straight to an Oil cycle anyway; the water evaporates during it.
How do you run an oil infusion?
Put liquid oil or butter into the Glass with the already-decarbed herb, keeping the total mixture below the MAX mark. Cover with the Dish Lid, dry the base, seat it on the probes, and select Oil or CBD Oil. The cycle behaves exactly as a decarb cycle does.
To get the oil out: remove the Dish Lid, fit the Filter Set, hold the Support Lid firmly against the Glass, invert it over your container, and press the Finger Grip to squeeze the oil through the Filter Disc. If the herb is very finely broken up, fit a filter mesh over the Spout and secure it with the Lock Ball first.
To recover the last of it: add warm water until the plant material is submerged, swirl gently, and let it stand until the oil forms a clear layer on top. Refit the Filter Set, attach the Pipette to the Spout with the Lock Ball, press the Filter Disc down slowly until oil enters the Pipette, close the top with your thumb, lift, and release into your container. Repeat.
Never fit the Filter Set while the Glass is still in the Main Body, and never while it is hot. Oil or hot air can be ejected through the Spout.

How does the evaporation function work, and what are the safety rules?
Evaporation reduces infused ethanol. It stops automatically at 102C (215.6F), so the concentrate cannot be scorched, and it removes roughly 50 ml per hour.
The manual is specific about the solvent and the space, and these are not optional:
- Food-grade, non-denatured ethanol only, at 95% ABV or higher (190 proof or above). Non-food-grade ethanol may contain highly toxic impurities.
- The room must be larger than 50 cubic metres, with air exchange between indoors and outdoors.
- Keep the cooker at least 5 metres from any open flame. High-proof ethanol is highly flammable.
- Do not run Evaporation in a small or closed space.
Our own guidance on solvent grades is in the best alcohol for making FECO, and it agrees: food-grade ethanol, never isopropyl, never denatured.
If the concentrate sticks to the Glass after total evaporation, add a little ethanol back, stir until it dissolves, pour it into the Dish Lid, let that evaporate at room temperature, and lift the concentrate off the non-stick silicone.
How do you clean it?
The Glass and the Filter Set are both dishwasher safe. Remove the Filter Disc from the Funnel first, and do not lay the pipe and pipette horizontally. By hand, rinse with warm water first and use non-abrasive cleaners.
Never immerse the Main Body, the power cord or the Base. Unplug before cleaning the Main Body. Avoid chlorine, ammonia, bleach, abrasive powders, metallic sponges and sharp scrapers on any surface.
What do the beeps and lights mean?

Other blinking states cover an over-long evaporation cycle, a thermal sensor fault, and dry-heating protection when the Glass is too hot. In each case the answer is the same: turn the Rotary Control to OFF, let it cool, and restart.
Light states: no light means disconnected from power. A steady point LED means standby. A pulsating ring LED means heating.
Safety limits worth knowing before you buy or lend it
- Indoors only, and domestic use only. The manual explicitly excludes commercial use.
- Not for children under 12, or for anyone with reduced physical or mental capacity without supervision.
- Do not use an extension cord. The cord is deliberately short.
- Never place it on or near a gas ring, an electric stove, or in a heated oven.
- Do not use the Glass in an oven, a microwave or on an induction hob.
- The inner heating surface and the Glass contents get very hot. Do not touch the Glass without the Sleeve while the fan is running.

Is the POT by NOIDS the same as the NOIDS Herb Lab?
Yes. Same appliance, later name. The printed manual uses “POT by NOIDS” throughout, and the identification plate says “All-in-One Herb Cooker”, model EXT2020.
What temperature does the NOIDS Herb Lab decarb at?
115C (239F) on the general Decarb function, or 110C (230F) on CBD Decarb. Cycles run roughly 100 to 180 minutes.
How long does a cycle take?
Between about 100 and 180 minutes depending on the function, plus a cooling phase. The cycle is only finished when the heating surface reaches 50C (122F) and the fan stops.
How much can it hold?
The Glass is 350 ml and there is a MAX mark on it. Do not exceed it, for material alone or for a mixture of oil and material.
Can I use a different glass or jar?
No. The Glass has a built-in thermal sensor and the cooker will not recognise any other container.
Is it dishwasher safe?
The Glass and the Filter Set are. The Main Body, cord and Base must never be immersed.
What ethanol should I use with the Evaporation function?

Why does my cooker beep for 10 seconds and blink?
The Glass is missing or is not touching the bottom probes. Press it down until it seats, then restart the function.
