Beginner’s Guide to Infusions

Using the NOIDS Herb Lab? The Herb Lab glass is 350 ml to the brim, and the MAX line is at 250 ml. Work to the MAX line, never the brim: the space above it is for the lid, the filter set and for the mixture to move as it heats. Keep your oil or butter and the decarbed herb together below the 250 ml line. For larger quantities, run it in batches rather than overfilling the glass.

DIY Infusions Made Simple: Create Your Own Infusions

A cannabis infusion is made by decarboxylating ground herb with heat to activate it, then steeping it in oil or butter and filtering out the plant material. Infusions are a wonderful way to harness the healing power of herbs and integrate them into your daily life. By infusing herbs in oil or butter, you capture the valuable molecules responsible for their beneficial effects. These include pain relief, relaxation, better sleep, and an overall sense of well-being.

From Inactive Molecules to Potent Infusions

Herbs contain a range of plant-based wellness molecules, but these are often in an inactive form. Decarboxylation, the key to activation, can be achieved through heating. This process converts the inactive molecules into active forms that can be absorbed and used by our bodies.
