Cannabis Bruschetta with Infused Olive Oil

Cannabis bruschetta is toasted bread topped with tomatoes, garlic and basil, then drizzled with olive oil infused from 3 g of decarboxylated cannabis per 150 ml; start at ½ teaspoon per person. A slice of toasted bread. Juicy tomatoes. A whisper of garlic. And then, unexpectedly, precisely,a few milliliters of cannabis-infused olive oil.

This isn’t a party trick. It’s a choice. A small, intentional edible that doesn’t shout but still shows up.

If you’ve been canna-curious but sugar-averse, this is a good first step. And if it’s your first time cooking with the plant: welcome. We’ll go slow, on purpose.

Why You Still Need to Decarb,Even if You’re Toasting Bread

Raw cannabis? It’s full of potential, but not much else. THC and CBD don’t activate on their own, they need heat. That process is called decarboxylation, and it’s what turns maybe into measurable.

Grilling bread won’t do it. Oven-baking the bruschetta won’t do it. You need steady, sustained heat.

Use the herb cooker. It keeps temps tight and smells minimal. That means active compounds, not burnt bud.

Ingredients

For the infused olive oil:

  • 3 g dried cannabis (any strain, just know your source)
  • 150 ml extra virgin olive oil

For the bruschetta:

  • 1 baguette or ciabatta
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, halved
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and fresh black pepper
  • Optional: a few drops of balsamic vinegar

Gear You’ll Need

  • herb cooker (non-negotiable for clean decarbing and infusion)
  • Cutting board + knife
  • Clean glass jar or bottle for storage

How to Make It

Step 1: Decarboxylate the cannabis

Lightly break up your flower (don’t grind it to dust).

Place in the glass container of your herb cooker.

Set to decarboxylation and wait untill it’s done.

Step 2: Infuse the olive oil

Add olive oil to you8r beaker with decarbed cannabis.

Set your herb cooker to infusion setting and let it do it’s thing.

Strain and store.

Step 3: Assemble the bruschetta

Slice the bread and toast until golden and crisp.

Rub each slice with the cut side of a garlic clove.

In a bowl, mix the diced tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper, and a splash of infused oil.

Top each toast with the tomato mixture.

Just before serving, drizzle a small dose of the cannabis-infused olive oil on top.

FAQ – Common Questions

Do I really need to decarboxylate if I’m baking later?

Yes. Most oven times aren’t long or hot enough to fully activate cannabinoids. Decarbing first ensures potency.

How much infused oil should I use per serving?

Start low: ½ teaspoon per person is a safe starting dose. Potency depends on your cannabis strain and infusion time.

How long until it kicks in?

Usually between 30 and 90 minutes. Be patient before taking more.

Storage and Usage Tips

Your infused olive oil will stay fresh for up to two months if kept in an airtight container in a cool, dark spot.

Use it raw or on low-heat dishes to preserve its potency:

  • Stir into soup right before serving
  • Drizzle over grilled eggplant with tahini
  • Blend into hummus for a calming snack
  • Whisk into a lemon-honey vinaigrette

One Bite at a Time

Edible cannabis doesn’t need to be loud, messy, or mysterious. This bruschetta is proof.

It’s a ritual you can repeat: same strain, same infusion method, same dose. Confidence comes from consistency.

Eat with intention. Share with care. Keep a notebook if you’re that kind of person.

And if you’re still getting to know your limits, good. That’s what this is for.
