Fresh, bright, and a little unexpected
This caprese adds a dressing of 60 ml olive oil infused with 2.5 g of decarboxylated cannabis and whisked with 30 ml balsamic vinegar, poured over sliced tomato, mozzarella and basil. Caprese is a study in simplicity: mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, basil, oil, vinegar. What happens when we give it a thoughtful cannabis twist? Just a light, balanced dressing that invites calm without dominating the plate.
If you’re new to cannabis edibles, or just tired of brownies, this recipe offers clarity.
Why Decarboxylation Matters (Even in Cold Dishes)
THCA won’t do much until it meets heat. Decarboxylation is the step that activates cannabinoids like THC and CBD.
In hot recipes, this can happen during cooking. But salad dressing? No heat. That’s why we decarb first, so your infused oil actually works.
Use the herb cooker. Clean, odor-controlled, precise. It’s the most reliable way to convert your flower without guesswork.

How to Make It
Step 1: Decarboxylate the cannabis
Lightly break up 1–2 grams of dried cannabis. Place it in the glass container of the herb cooker. Set to decarboxylation mode.
Step 2: Infuse the olive oil
Add olive oil to your decarboxylated cannabis. Set your Noids on infusion and filter when done.
Step 3: Build the dressing
Add 30 ml balsamic vinegar to the infused oil. Whisk in honey if using. Add a pinch of salt.
Step 4: Assemble the salad
Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices on a plate. Scatter fresh basil leaves. Drizzle generously with the cannabis-infused balsamic dressing. Finish with flaky salt and black pepper.
FAQ: Cannabis in Salads
Do I really need to decarboxylate?
Yes. No heat in dressing means no activation without this step.
How long will the oil keep?
Up to 2 weeks, sealed, in a cool dark place.
Is balsamic essential?
Nope. Lemon juice and herbs also make great vinaigrettes.
