STRAIN
Gorilla Glue #4 is the strain that made sticky resin a selling point. It is a potent, balanced hybrid with an earthy diesel aroma and a reputation for pinning people to the sofa. You will also see it sold as Original Glue or simply GG4.
Background and lineage
GG4 is generally credited to a cross of Chem’s Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel, bred in the United States. The name changed after a trademark dispute with the adhesive manufacturer, which is why the same plant appears as Original Glue and GG4 on menus. The three names describe the same lineage; the plants behind them are not always the same cutting.
Aroma and terpenes
The signature is earthy and sour, with pine, diesel and a cocoa note underneath. Profiles are commonly Caryophyllene-forward with limonene and myrcene, which fits the heavy, peppery character.
Reported effects
Users commonly report a fast, weighty onset that leans physical rather than cerebral, with strong relaxation and a tendency toward couch-lock at higher doses. It is usually described as an evening choice rather than a functional daytime one.

Note
Strain data varies by grower, phenotype and batch. Treat lineage, terpenes and THC ranges as typical, not guaranteed, and read the lab report where you can.
Making something with it
Whatever the label says, what reaches you is a batch of flower with its own chemistry. If you are turning it into oil or butter, decarboxylate it first and weigh both the material and the fat, because that is the only way the potency calculator can give you a dose per millilitre. Our Make It section covers the method, and the NOIDS Herb Lab is the kit we use for it.
