Cannabis Nutella with FECO – Intense THC Spread

Chocolate with Depth (and Direction)

To make cannabis Nutella, blend 150 g of roasted hazelnuts until creamy, add cocoa, syrup, vanilla and salt, then stir in 1 to 3 drops of FECO made from 5 g of cannabis. Sometimes you want comfort food. Sometimes you want precision. This recipe gives you both: the deep creaminess of hazelnut chocolate spread and the controllable strength of FECO (full extract cannabis oil).

Thanks to the herb cooker, you can decarb, filter, and evaporate safely at home, without open flames or smell bombs. It’s made for home edible makers who care about clean dosing and smooth results.

Why Decarboxylation Still Matters (Even for Extracts)

FECO is potent, but it still begins with activation. That means heating cannabis just enough to convert THCA into THC,a process called decarboxylation.

With the herb cooker, you do this precisely, with low odor and minimal loss. It’s the cleanest way to set yourself up for a consistent infusion.

Ingredients

For the FECO:

  • 5 g dried cannabis (sativa, hybrid, or indica)
  • 100 ml food-grade ethanol (96%)

For the Nutella:

  • 150 g roasted hazelnuts, skins removed
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple or agave syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1–3 drops FECO (start low)
  • Optional: neutral oil (e.g. sunflower or MCT) for smoothness

Equipment

  • herb cooker (for decarbing, filtering, and evaporation)
  • Food processor or high-power blender
  • Glass jar
  • Stainless steel or glass dish for FECO
  • Saucepan + bowl (for water bath)
  • Syringe or dropper (for dosing FECO)
  • Cheesecloth or fine mesh filter

How to Make FECO With a dedicated herb cooker

Step 1: Decarboxylate

Coarsely break up 5 g of cannabis. Place in the glass beaker of your herb cooker. Set to decarboxylation and let it cool.

Step 2: Ethanol Extraction

Place the decarbed cannabis in a clean glass jar. Cover completely with 96% ethanol. Let sit for 30–60 minutes, swirling occasionally. (shorther or longer affacts the amount of chloryll in your extract.)

Step 3: Filter

Use a fine mesh filter or cheesecloth to strain into a clean glass. Press gently to avoid harsh flavors.

Step 4: Evaporate Safely

Start the herb cooker’s evaporation function. Let the ethanol evaporate fully in a ventilated area.

What remains is thick, dark oil: FECO. Cool and store in a sealed glass container or syringe.

How to Make Cannabis Nutella

Step 1: Process the Nuts

Add roasted hazelnuts to a food processor. Blend for 5–10 minutes until creamy. Scrape sides as needed.

Step 2: Add Flavor

Add cocoa, syrup, vanilla, and salt. Blend until fully combined.

Step 3: Add FECO

Stir in FECO trough the finished spread. Mix well with spatula or pulse in blender. Add oil if needed for texture.

FAQ: Dosing & Storage

How strong is 1 drop of FECO?

If made from 5 g cannabis, each drop contains roughly 5–10 mg THC. Start with one drop per serving. Wait 1–2 hours before redosing.

Shelf life?

FECO lasts 6+ months refrigerated. The Nutella keeps for 3–4 weeks in a sealed jar, stored cool and dark.

Nut-free option?

Yes. Try sunflower seeds or coconut butter for a similar spreadable base.

Use Ideas

  • Swirl onto warm toast
  • Spread in pancakes or crêpes
  • Stir into oatmeal or porridge
  • Layer into homemade chocolate
  • Or just… one slow spoon after a long day
