OG Kush

Abseihen

OG Kush is a foundational American strain and a parent to countless others. Famous for its pungent fuel-and-pine aroma, OG Kush is one of the most influential cannabis lineages, even though its exact origins are debated.

Background and lineage

OG Kush emerged in 1990s America and its precise genetics are disputed, commonly linked to Chemdawg crossed with a Hindu Kush type. It is a parent of many modern strains, including GSC.

Aroma and terpenes

The hallmark is earthy pine and fuel with a lemony edge. Profiles are commonly caryophyllene, myrcene and limonene forward, giving the peppery, pungent character.

Reported effects

Users commonly report a strong, euphoric and relaxing effect. It is potent, so it is not the gentlest starting point.
