CBC (Cannabichromene): Specs, Evidence, Decarb & Infusion

Indice dei cannabinoidi · Non inebriante

Non inebrianteNot approvedWADA-prohibitedLiposolubile

CBC (cannabichromene) is a non-intoxicating minor cannabinoid, one of the “big six” the plant produces. Like the others it starts as an acid (CBCA) that converts to CBC with heat. Research is almost entirely preclinical: there are no approved CBC medicines and no significant human trials.

Specifica
Composto
CBC (Cannabichromene)
Precursore acido
CBCA (cannabichromenic acid)
Classificazione
Fitocannabinoide
Numero CAS
20675-51-8
Formula molecolare
C21H30O2 (an isomer of THC and CBD)
Peso molecolare
314,46 g/mol
Inebriante
No
Solubilità
Liposolubile; scarsamente idrosolubile

Decarbossilazione & infusione

Forma acida
CBCA, the form in raw and freshly dried flower
Decarbossilazione
CBCA loses CO2 and becomes CBC with heat over time
Attivazione approssimativa
Similar range to the other cannabinoids, roughly 110 to 150°C
Infusione
Fat-soluble, so it transfers into oils and butter like the rest

CBC is a trace component of most flower; see the tabella delle temperature di decarbossilazione.

Cosa ha esaminato la letteratura pubblicata

CBC has been studied mainly in vitro and in rodents. Work has looked at anti-inflammatory and analgesic signals in animal models and at how CBC interacts with receptors such as TRPA1, as well as the idea that it contributes to combined “entourage” effects alongside other cannabinoids. This is early-stage research, not clinical evidence.

Cosa è accertato e cosa no

Accertato: that CBC is a genuine, non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid present in small amounts and active at certain receptors in laboratory work. Non accertato: any human clinical effect. There are no registered human trials of note and no approved use. Wellness claims for CBC run well ahead of the evidence. Domande frequenti

Does CBC get you high?

No. CBC is non-intoxicating and does not produce a THC-like high.

Is there human research on CBC?

Very little. CBC research is almost entirely cell and animal studies; there are no significant registered human trials and no approved CBC medicine.

Where does CBC come from?

From CBCA, one of the acids the plant makes from the precursor CBGA. Heat converts CBCA to CBC. It is usually only a trace component of flower.
